You could be feeling extra powerful, and filled with self reflection and love.

Here are the types of spells and magick to consider doing on this full moon.

  • Rebirth
  • Transformation
  • Credit and Mortgages
  • Recovering lost things or relationships.
  • Sex magicks, elixirs and rituals related to emotions and relationships.
  • Couples magick
  • Self hypnosis sessions, or self love work.
  • Divination sessions to uncover secrets.

Here are also a few personal spells to delight in.

Here are a few other ideas for spells to do this Full Moon. Two water based spells to pay homage to the water element of Scorpio.

SELF CONFIDENCE BATH

The following magical bath enhances self-confidence and personal magnetism, and increases chances of success. Take the bath either just prior to an important event, an interview or the like, the night before. Remember to allow yourself to air dry and leave the herbs in the infusion for upmost power if at all possible.

  1. Place allspice berries, cinnamon sticks, cloves, whole nutmeg, and pieces of Sandalwood in a bowl.
  2. Cover with boiling water and let the herbs steep for awhile, at least an hour or longer.
  3. Afterwards, draw a bath for yourself.
  4. Stand in the tub and toss the now lukewarm infusion over your body.
  5. Soak and steep yourself in the bath.

And good luck! For it’s going to be powerful!

FRIENDSHIP RENEWAL POWDER

This powder is intended to soften an angry friend’s heart or an ex-lover. It helps prevent them from becoming an enemy. Grind and powder the following ingredients together:

Sprinkle the powder on your friend’s shoulder, if possible. If not, then close to their surroundings. If this is even not possible, one can use a human figure candle and surround the base with this powder as the candle is lit.

CLEANSING AND ENERGY BATH

This Botanical bath is to cleanse the aura, as well as balance yin and yang Energies.

  1. Add a cup of pure sea salt to a dish.
  2. Add two drops, each of essential oils of Frankincense, Myrrh, Patchouli, and Vetiver.
  3. With your fingers, blend this into the salt.
  4. Add this to a tub of running water.
  5. When the bath has filled, and the temperature is correct, adjust the fragrance. If you like, add a few more drops of any of the essential oils directly to the water.

Stir well. I like to use a wooden spoon to make sure the water is well-blended.

SCORPIOS CAN DO MAGICK TOO!

May Day Magick

Happy Beltane, one and all!

And a very magical May day as well.

Did you find yourselves out at dawn, rolling in the morning dew for a youth spell? Did you collect the blooming buds of flowers to weave beauty and charm into your life? Or alight the great Beltane fires and jumped over them to bring fortune for the rest of the year!

Beltane is one among the fire festivals of the seasons. The coming of two seasons, joining together for electric Spring and Summer passion. It’s after this holiday, that many could say notice a magical air within the weather. A cool and heated embrace.

Many witches love to cast their magicks during this time. The energies are charged. Wiccans associate this with the aftermath of the God and Goddess lovemaking. When magick is blessed by their joined power. Nevertheless, magick is especially potent; fertile, and is easily accessible at this time.

Here are spells that are best done on Beltane, or anytime of this month.

Hearth Flame Spell

Turn off all the lights of the home just before sunset.

Outside, create a bonfire. Traditionally, 9 woods were casted into the fire to create a universal blessing. These woods are:

As the fire is ablaze, light a white candle and bring it into the home to rekindle the hearth fire.

One can say a prayer or chant:

temporum beneficia
Season’s blessings.

Allow the white candle to burn down for the rest of the night. And the spell is done.

Flame and Smoke Spell

For the coming summer, one has to cleanse and prepare. The summer season is time of change and activity, so this purification will help get you ready for the challenges to come.

Gather 2 candles. Color code it to fit with the sort of cleansing you wish.

  • White is universal cleanse
  • Yellow is mental cleanse
  • Blue is emotional cleanse
  • Green is body cleanse
  • Purple is spirit cleanse

Gather 2 incense. Again, try to best fit with your cleanse.

Sit in between these candles and incense and allow it to purify all that is within. Meditate. The spell is done.

The Sun’s Blessing

The sun is fully awake at this time, and grows stronger as summer nears. Sing to the Sun at noon time, to call down his blessings for the coming summer. It doesn’t matter which song to sing, just as long as it comes from the heart.

May Rain

Any rain that falls during this month is especially potent with magical properties. Collect the rainwater in order to contribute to most any spells. From healing, to cleanses, to prosperity, and luck. To love, to happiness, to mental powers, and psychic. Rainwater can even be distilled in order to add to magical dishes and teas!

This is but a few, and yet so much more can be done during this time of May. Be inspired, and feel the magick all around!

Blessed Be

May Day Magick!

Imbolc Recipes

Get ready for Imbolc!

Traditionally, Imbolc can be celebrated either on the 1st of February, or on the 2nd. Some celebrate during both days; from sunset to sunset. Imbolc is one of the fire festivals, and is typically celebrated with candlelight. Lots and lots of candlelight! Ceremonies are created outside, in the cold winter chill, to usher in the Sun’s warmth into the soil of Earth. Homes are prepared for the coming of Spring. By means of spring cleaning, and cleansing.  Seeds are blessed. Either for the garden, or for growth spells. Purification rites, and cleansing baths are drawn. Kitchen magick is ablaze to enchant the heart and thaw the mind. By whatever which way to awaken the spirit, is perfect to do during these days!

If a festival shall ever arise, be sure to have proper refreshments! Such as this delicious spiced wine recipe!

Spiced Wine for Imbolc

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups pineapple juice; organic if possible
  • 1 cup orange juice; freshly squeezed is best
  • 1/4 cup (or to taste) raw, local honey
  • 9 whole cloves
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • Pinch of pure sea salt

Add all ingredients to a crock pot and heat on high for 2 hours, stirring once or twice.
Turn crock pot to low, remove lid, and wait for juice mixture to come to below 180 degrees.

Add a bottle of red wine, and allow to warm up.

Either drink warm, chilled, or room temp; all are good. Although, I happened to like it chilled.
If one plans to do a ceremony to honor the holiday, here is an incense and oil recipe.

Imbolc Incense

Measure by how much you want.

Crush ingredients in a mortar and pestle. And burn over charcoal.

Imbolc Oil

Now, if there are baking lovers out there, and wish to push the love of pie making into your craft and holiday, here is a deliciously simple blackberry pie recipe! And if you wish, can even dedicate it to the Goddess Brighid, who is a popular Goddess for this holiday.

Brighid’s Blackberry Pie

  • 1 (15 ounce) package pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
  • 4 cups of fresh blackberries
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1/5 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Line a 9 inch deep dish pie pan with one of the crusts. If you wish to dedicate this pie to the holiday, carve a symbol on the bottom of the pie crust with a tooth pick.

In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, and salt together. Sprinkle over blackberries in a larger bowl, and toss to coat. Pour into the pie crust. Dot with butter. Place the other pie crust over and secure the ridges. Slice a design over the top of the pie crust to vent steam.

Place in the oven for 1 hour, or until crust begin to brown. Let cool to room temperature before serving to allow the filing to set.

Blessed Be, and have a beautiful Imbolc days.

Samhain Tea Recipe

Great Samhain Blessings!

Today, in our modern calendar, marks Halloween! Also called Samhain. Pronounced Sow-wen, or Sow-ween, is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter, or the “darker half” of the year. Amongst witches, it is considered the new spiritual year. Being because, on this holy day, the spirits of the otherworld are allowed to visit the living and sow their old seeds. And with that our living souls are given new goals, dreams, and lessons to be taken in.

Because our dear departed return to us on this holy night, it is tradition to pay them honor. We give them offerings of sliced apples, blessed tea, milk,  or barley. We light candles and place them on our window sills to light the way. We carve frightening pumpkins  to scare off the mischief of troublesome spirits. And renew the barriers around our homes to prepare for winter.

SAMHAIN TEA RECIPE

Remembering The One’s Who Have Passed + Spell

Welcome!

Not many know that April 28th is a time for honor and remembering those who have passed in your life. If not family or friends, then to the ancestors who have helped guide you through life.

Use this day to communicate with those spirits. However, please always keep it safe when it comes to Spirit spells. Consider casting a protection circle with either salt, candles, or a barrier infusion.

Spirit Communication Spell

Combine together
3 parts Wormwood
1 part Vervain
A small piece of paper with the spirit’s name (cut into small pieces)

Instructions:

Grind. All the while, empowering the mix with your energy and memories of the spirit(s).
When ready, cast your protection circle, then with either a black candle, a piece of charcoal, or a burning bonfire, burn the mix.

Chant:

 Et vocavi vos, (spirit’s name)

(I summon you, (spirit’s name))

Continue chanting until you feel a presence.

I highly recommend to leave an offering! Most give apples, barley, and milk. I prefer to give Lavender Tea with some extra sweet honey! Lavender tea, to me, is such a beautiful symbol of peace and rest, what better tea for the spirits to enjoy.

Now, I know that the idea of communicating with a spirit is quite intimidating. That’s alright to feel that way. Rather instead, cook a meal, bake bread or cookies! Dedicate the whole banquet to the spirits and ancestors. Have a place at the table empty with a plate and offerings!

Well happy tidings all! Have a truly blessed day and night!

We Must Always Remember Those That Have Passed

The Cold Moon in January

Hello All!

Welcome back in this newest update! We had an exciting last week with the upcoming full moon and a planetary alignment!! I was very happy to learn that the best day of the alignment was on the day of the full moon. I hope we all had our chance for rituals and spells!

As for me, I decided to dedicate this time in preparing my stream and snow water for Imbolc, as well as create a Full Moon bath salt blend, and lastly enjoy calling down the moon with a fresh pot of tea.

I will be much more specific when it comes to the Water Blessing in another post. So for now I will discuss the Full Moon Bath Salts. As probably you all can tell, I love bath salts, right along next to TEA! But these salts are by far my favorite to bathe in; because of the revitalizing scent!

FULL MOON BATH SALT

1/2 Cup of Epsom Salt

1/4 Cup of Baking Soda

Drops of Jasmine Oil

Drops of Orange Oil

Drops of Grapefruit Oil

Again, I say drops because it completely depends on the individual! Of course I put a lot! The scent is to die for, and I just love the way it lingers on the skin. My hubby sure finds it alluring. I suppose because I designed it around the basis of the Full Moon itself. The moon alone is so enchanting.

Now, I chose Jasmine because of its lunar correspondence; it is an oil that honors the Moon Goddess. Orange and Grapefruit I decided upon because of their uplifting, purification properties, as well as their creativity, psychic enhancement, meditation, and self-courage attributes.

Within the salt, I drew a symbol.

This symbol is like so:

*O*

And I had chanted:

Lunaris Benictionem

(The Moon’s Blessing)

Now remember, that yes it is perfect to use these salts at the time of the Full moon before any ritual or spell work. You need to get the spirit energized and cleansed! And also, I HIGHLY recommend meditating (if you  don’t already do so) during the bath. Such wonders you come across! Especially considering that this blend is helpful to get the creative juices flowing! LOVE!

Now, it wouldn’t be right to not have any TEA involved in this! After the bath, I went outside to sit and enjoy a cup of tea under the Full Moon. I called down the Goddess, with a white candle, a Goddess blended incense, and with my open spirit. Simple.

When calling down the Goddess; many different witches have their own way of chanting to Her, but I rather just speak from the heart, and I never fail to feel her presence within me.

My Full Moon tea blend is much like the bath salts.

Full Moon Tea Blend

Enjoy these blends and many blessings fellow witches!

Blessed Be~
