So being that this is the first week of spring, there was a lot to do in welcoming it.
As witches, one of our responsibilities is ushering in each season and rejoicing in its energy and meaning.
Spring is the time the great Goddess is fully awake and is embracing the earth, gifting it nourishment, beauty, and health. Thankfully, out here in California, where we were in desperate need for rain, we were granted a few storms. The California covens must of been pleased with their success.
The plants and animals are in full swing and are blooming. Seeing this and waiting on the full moon, I decided it was the perfect day to do my Spring ritual.
Planting seeds is a perfect offering to the earth and Goddess. This year I chose to do four types of herbs, cilantro, basil, lavender, and parsley. I setted up my pots and seeds. Lit some candles, and burned my spring equinox incense.
As I began planting I started to chant:
The goddess is awakened from the sun’s warm rays.
She breathes new life and grows through the blossoms.
She transfers her life force through us and in all things living.
She is within us. Around us. And in those about to be born.
After planting, I then used some of my blessed stream water that I collected from my trip to the mountains and watered the seeds. Then chanting~
We celebrate the seeds and blooming spring of mother earth. She gifts to us in her bountiful love.
*Blessed be the Goddess*
If you have not already, light the candles. And then chant~
We are now entering the light half of the year, may the light in our hearts illuminate the sun.
Light the candles or bonfire.
Blessed Be! And may the upcoming season bring you all peace and balance.

Merry meet every one!
I hope you all are having a blessed spring week! And enjoy your upcoming Easter day this Sunday!
Well I wanted to share some ideas on how to celebrate the beginning of Spring. A lot of people enjoy having the family over for food and fun, egg hunting being a very popular choice. However, if your looking for something calm and fun to do with your little ones, I will like to suggest a little something like the activity I chose to do this year.
I decided to make a bird’s nest and an offering of seeds. I wanted to do a home made nest but decided it would be quicker to use a cute basket that I found at the 99c store. I added some bedding as a filler and then some lovely flowers and leaves to give it a homey appeal for the cute little birds that fly around my yard. You can definitely make it your own and natural by scavenging with your little ones and friends to find some beautiful items to add to the nest.
It’s an amazing way to get the kids outdoors and search and find the most enchanting things! My little nephew found a piece of wood once; it was in the shape of a claw! He became so engrossed, I helped him turn it into a charm!
So in any which way you choose, try to make it fun and awarding! You must always remember to feel alive! Because that is when you truly can feel the love from the earth and the Divine.

Merry meet! Welcome!
So today’s post is simply a recipe of my spring equinox incense. I use this incense for my Spring morning prayer. And also during my day ritual.
Before I begin blending, I light a candle to open the doorway for the god and goddess. As I blend the herbs and oil together, I begin chanting all the names that mainly the Goddess goes upon to summon the female element/energy to this incense. Spring has a female aura to it, in my opinion.
As you blend, be sure your also checking on the candle’s flame. Most believe that in a still room, when a candle flame flickers, you have a divine presence in your company. Fortunate enough, my candle flickered. 🙂

Blessed be one and all! Tis the Spring Equinox! And I don’t know about you, but I feel so blessed to be alive and rejuvenated!
Waking up this morning, I knew I just had to do a morning prayer to the Goddess. The day is beautiful, the grape vines are blooming so quickly. And now the tree that was bare is now starting to sprout! I had to pay tribute and thanks.
So mind you, I had to do the prayer quickly because I had to make breakfast and then rush soon after to work. (I’m very much NOT a morning person but I’m working on it! xD)
I began creating my spring incense; I will do a separate post on that. All the while, I lit a candle and began invoking the great spring Goddess. When I witnessed the flame flicker, I saw it as the right time to begin.
I lit another candle and placed it in my lovely rabbit holder that I use every spring. I lit some charcoal and began to burn the incense. As the incense burned, I began chanting:
We give honor and thanks to the sun for it’s sustenance, warmth, and light
*Blessed be the dawn*
And as our blessed mother earth is rebirth in the spring
So time is rebirth in the morning.
*Blessed be the dawn*
*Blessed be the Goddess*
(* is to represent the group saying it together)
Well I hope y’all morning and day goes beautiful! Enjoy the sun, the sky, and the earth, but most importantly your life and family.
HELLO! And Merry meet!
Many blessings to you my friends on this festive and wondefully fun day!
I’m sure you all know that today is Saint Patrick’s day and probably out drinking and celebrating with friends and family! Wonderful!
Well considering the title I’ve written, it’s not all based upon Saint Patrick’s, it’s also Dionysus’s Day! Oh the god of wine and the saint of Ireland share this day for all to be festive and merry! And not to mention their equal interest for drinks and celebration!
I paid tribute to the great Lord of the vine! Especially since my backyard carries grape vines, I prayed for a good healthy growth. This is going to be my first year growing grapes, and I hope my prayers will be answered!
The day is warm and cool, and it was a perfect time to step outside and really enjoy nature, especially with a glass of delicious red wine. I simply spent time with my vines, lit some candles, shared some wine, and mingled with the positive vibes.
I know of other’s that deeply love this day! I love how they gather their love ones, bring barrels of beer and wine, create some delicious stews, meats, and pies, and just really go all out! I plan to do all the same, but when the spring equinox is upon us. Which is right around the corner! Oh I’m so excited!
I hope you all will be safe and really be happy together!
Gotta bring in the new spring season with happiness and cheer! Remember the days when you were young and free, because you still are! Just need to remember that!
I’ve been a kitchen witch since I was a teenager. I was taught and witnessed the magic behind cooking. It is truly amazing what the will of intention can do to food. The meal literally becomes a spell.
I have met many different kitchen witches and was gifted by their teachings, tips, and recipes. I have treasured these teachings and I taught it to others. Now the reason why I am writing this is because recently I have found a pin that portrayed a lot of tips that I have been taught. I found great beauty over the fact that these teachings has been passed down through many different witches, family, and friends.
I believe in the importance of passing down one’s teachings to another in hopes that it continues on.
Blessed Be to passing on the word!
