Dedicating An Animal Spirit

Hello and Welcome!

I’ve recently discovered a ritual that is both beautiful and magickal. If you are one that finds your pet to be special and powerful, then this is the spell for you. If you are also one who finds great purpose in worshiping deities, then this is the ritual for you.

This ritual is dedicating an animal to a specific Spirit. This will create a profound triangular relationship between human, spirit and animal. This ritual derives from indigenous Siberia, but with a twist.

THE SPELL

  1. Choose a specific animal to be dedicated to a specific deity. ( I will include a list of animals and the deities that are associated with them.)
  2. Purify the animal with juniper incense.
  3. sprinkle it with wine.
  4. Decorate the animal with ribbons in Colors associated with the specific Spirit.
  5. Offer the animal an infusion of 1 teaspoon of honey to 1-2 cups of water.
  6. The animal is returned home or to its flock. It is now never ridden, eaten, or worked. It is treated special and allowed to enjoy its life as a gesture of sacrificial devotion. This treatment may extend over the animal’s entire natural life or for a specific period of time. This must be specified during the initiation.

GOOD WITCH KEEPING SERIES

Merry Spring!

So, a new series came to mind while I started my Spring Cleaning. Every proper Witch always uses their magick while tending to their home. If you aren’t, then I highly recommend doing so. It is the perfect way of incorporating and practicing your craft every day. And who wouldn’t want their home sparkling with good vibes and surrounded in protection?

Therefore, I decided to list my own methods. Now, keep in mind, that every Witch has their own practices. This list is merely my own, and what has worked for my house. Either gather some ideas, or blend these practices with your own.

Now, the list is pretty explanatory. But I’ll go over them in detail if one wishes to understand how I came up with these.

New Moons are a time for starting a new cycle again. A complete cleanse from the previous energy, and to create a different sort of goals to take shape. A witch could see this as an opportune time to purify themselves, their ritual tools, altar, and homes. Hence, a good reason why I like to sweep and mop during this week of the New Moon. I love brewing together my own floorwashes and powders to use for this time. More on those recipes later.

Once the Moon begins to wax, energies are growing. Like a seed, goals begin as such. And by the time the Moon is within its first quarter, the energies are sparking. Therefore, this is a great time to burn any kind of drawing incense or simmering pots. In this case, drawing mixes that attracts fortune, luck, health, love, blessings, etc. Normally, I do these sort of drawing magicks for maintaining the positive flow in my home. To keep everyone healthy. Positive luck. Peace and creativity. Etc.

Now, it is no surprise when I write how any hearth/home magick can be done during the Full Moon. Because that is just so. The week leading up to the Full Moon is enhanced with energy. Any magick, whether it is fertility, protection, wealth, banishing, anything, is perfect for this time. So have at it!

Much like the New Moon, energies during the Last Quarter are low, but they are still humming. This is the time to put that power to rest and banish any unwanted energies that may have accumulated during the month. I like to vacuum and dust during this time. Dust bunnies and other nasty dirty particles are what is left of the old negative energies. They harbor and hold onto these remnants, so it’s important to be rid of these to prepare for the New Moon. Breaking Bad Habit spells are perfect during this chore.

I hope you enjoy the list. And keep on the look out, there will be more to the series on the way.

All Souls Day

Samhain is here again! A new year taking us forward. What does that mean for us witches? Time to pull out the spells and offerings!

Getting the home ready with protection charms and decorations! Purifying our lives with cleansing vibrations! Creating glamour spells to spook the trick or treaters. And brewing delicious magickal concoctions of food and drinks!

(That last part being my favorite)

Speaking of which, let me share this year’s Samhain tea recipe that I’ve blended.

Samhain Tea

  • 2 bags of Oolong tea
  • 1 tbsp of Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1 tbsp of dried Cranberries
  • 1 Cinnamon stick

Brew this in a pot of tea for several minutes. After steeping, stir the cinnamon stick several times, and add some delicious maple infused milk to the drink, till it’s good and creamy. Enjoy tonight as the trick or treaters come by! And believe in life and its fruitfulness.

Maple Milk

  • 1 cup of whole Milk
  • 4 tbsp of grade A Maple syrup

Gently warm the cup of milk in a small saucepan. Once it begins to steam, add the tablespoons of Maple syrup. Be sure not to boil it! Simmer it momentarily, as you stir in the syrup till it blends. Take it off the heat and pour it into a small creamer container. Enjoy with your tea!

Oh, how I look forward to this magickal blend later tonight. This tea is meant to engulf us with its courageous influence, as it brings love and joy to our hearts. Life and all its luxuriance. Its meant to sooth us, mend us, and open new paths.

SPELLS!

Now, let’s talk spells! Tonight the Moon is in its last quarter. That means it’s the perfect time to ward off negative energies. Protect the home. Release the past. And divination time!

Let’s see, we shall begin with tradition. Samhain is thinning the veil; the worlds between the living and the dead are face to face. They come to us with prayers, messages, or curses. And it is for this reason that we either welcome them, or ward them.

Here is a simple ghost blessing spell.

Ghost Blessing

Place offerings of milk and barley outside under the stars to ease the ghosts hunger and to prevent their mischief.

The maple infused milk is perfect for honoring the ancestors.

Apples can also be buried at crossroads as offerings for the Goddess, or spirits.

Ghost Home Barrier

Place three peeled cloves of garlic in a bowl, together with one handful of sea salt, and one handful of fresh rosemary leaves. Grind and mesh ingredients together. Sprinkle them to create a boundary line over which ghosts will not cross.

If you so happen to wish to choose this night of all nights to reveal to a ghost it’s current state of death, well, here is a spell for that.

Grouchy Ghost Spell

Burn three parts wormwood to one part vervain whem summoning the ghost who is suffering from a state of depression when they died. Or when they haven’t realized they are dead.

Speak softly and gentle. Offer honey to sweeten the news, or offer a plate of food for comfort. Speak as you understand, and try to offer advice and help them see the promise of the other side. It won’t be easy, but you would have to be open with them in order for them to believe you. Trust, it is rewarding when they do.

LAST THOUGHTS

Well may your Samhain be blessed, and the spirits at rest. May the trick or treaters be kind. And the food as good as wine. Have fun! Be merry!

Aura Repair

Let us rejoice towards the waning of the moon!

Beginning today, the last quarter moon is shedding its energy. Turning away from the active energies of the past, to rest and regenerate to begin again. Just as the Moon restores, so shall we. It is time to renew for a new beginning, rest, and then glow again with fresh power. To a turn of a new tide.

What I love to do most during this moon time, is to go to the spa to cleanse and relax. Not only does it feel good for the body, but for the soul. Every room feels like cozy warm blankets. The air carries a zen ambience that calls to your senses. Seemingly endless pools of liquid heat and rejuvenating jet streams, soothing the muscles and heart. Every chakra point being called to open. Soothing sea salts fill every corner of the steam rooms. And amazingly pink Himalayan salt rooms covering every inch of the room. Resting in one of these rooms not only renews the aura, it centers a psychic’s abilities like chocolate syrup on top of ice cream! You feel so soothed by the end of the spa visit, and vibrant by your fresh energy, you can’t help but end the day with a good cup of tea, and then a peaceful nap. The next day is like seeing a sparkling new world. And your magick can touch and feel all the wonders of the Earth.

I highly recommend the experience! Search for your closest korean spa, and go! Now! I recommend searching on Groupon. GROUPON has the best deals for Korean spas, and can help find the closest one to your location. So definitely, check it out. Because nothing is more delicious, than living deliciously. Ha!

Oh!

And that tea I mentioned earlier after such an amazing experience at the spa? Well, gladly sip on this tasty treat. This mix blend is a favorite of mine. I drink on this after my spa day. It keeps my spirits up, long after the moon is dark. Blend and enjoy with top quality organic ingredients only. That’s really the only best kind. And please be considerate of your health. Do not take if pregnant or nursing. Nor daily.

Aura Repair Tea

  • 1 tsp Peppermint
  • 1 tsp Hibiscus Flowers
  • 1/4 tsp Rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp Lemongrass
  • 1/8 tsp Mugwort

2 cup recipe. Once water is boiled, pour and brew for 5 – 10 minutes. Sweeten with either regular sugar, or I add coconut sugar. Sweetens just the same, although coconut sugar is much more keto friendly, plus it adds protective properties.

For this tea spell; after the herbs are finished brewing, bring the cup into your hands and hover your face over its steam. Inhale deeply, absorbing through the skin, and into the flow of your energy. There is no need for any words or chant. Only to instill within you the calming flow of the tea’s energy. Hold onto this moment for as long as you feel comfortable, then humbly, take a sip. Feel its essence become a part of you. Feel how your energy responds to it. Accept it wholeheartedly. Then rest with it.

I hope you enjoy this tea, and the idea of going to a spa! Give yourself that spa day you surely deserve and need! The results are amazing.

Many blessings, to you all!

Spring Equinox Magick

Hi! And welcome!

Rejoice! For Spring has come again! With it, renewal, and new beginnings!

This is a time of sparkling new paths, and time of action towards a fulfilling year. What this Tea Witch’s house has in store is a purifying magickal bath to prepare the mind and heart for a new season, and for whatever Spring has to offer us.

This spell I did under the recent new moon night, however, this spell is also perfect for a day such as the Spring Equinox.

Lately, I’ve been inspired by bath and water magick. I guess it’s the season that’s stirred it. The weather being extra rainy this time of year.

RENEWAL BATH POTION

1/4 palm size Sandalwood, White or Red
1/4 palm size Willow Bark, White
1/4 palm size Myrrh
1/4 palm size Hemp (medicinal cannabis optional ūüėČ) * For this particular recipe, I’m going to use an oil base.

First I’m brewing the blend in boiling water, then will let it steep, and cool till I’m ready for my bath. I’m calling for prosperous, protective, and transcendent energies.

Then later, I plan on drawing the bath, and blessing it with sea salt. Then use the tea blend to manifest my spell.
I’m going to use this spell to shed away my late seasonal energy, and renew for a greater prosperous and loving season. That is why I chose the Red Sandalwood. Go for White Sandalwood if calling for more of a calm relaxed season.

This is especially a great spell to do now, or night of the Equinox. I’m also going to use the dry herb blend for the same spell. But this time, I will be burying portions of it at each corner of my homeland for the same outcome.

So looking forward for what this new Spring Season is going to bring!

May it also grant you best wishes and hearty joy!

Blessed Be

The First Spell

The Spirit of Flight. The Spirit of Flight, the force responsible for the powers of movement of the wind and air, has gathered around her all the flying things she loves. Birds, insects, flying fish, swirling leaves, seeds of dandelions and sycamore trees, butterflies and fairies all dance around her in a grand array of wild free motion.:

Today was a day of remembrance. I found myself outside on a beautiful sunny-windy day. Gazing up to the sky, feeling the wind against my skin, reminded me of when I was little and had done my first spell. I smiled to myself, recalling the sweet innocence of magick when I was young. I had little knowledge of the craft but I knew in my heart, despite not knowing the correct term for it, magick was all around.

It was fascinating how magical occasions would arise.¬†For example, whenever I would wish for something with all my might, it would occur, and there I was staring wide-eyed amazed that it had happened. This was especially during a time when my parents would explain how magick wasn’t real. But I had refused to believe that. If that was the truth, then how was it that wishes would come¬†to¬†be¬†every time I truly desired them? It was after this questioning that I remembered I¬†longed for answers.

One day, after a particular disagreement with my parents, I had gone outside. I rested on a swing, fuming with sadness and confusion. I remember feeling utterly alone and misunderstood. It was overwhelming and I admittedly began to cry. Not long after tears were falling that I had suddenly found myself feeling not alone. I will never forget this; it was the first time I ever felt a divine presence. Immediately I was soothed by a comforting light within my heart.

Sweetly, I had asked, “Are you there?”

The wind blew. To clarify, this was a hot dry day. There was no breeze when I was outside until this moment.

Once I felt this breeze, my soul had trembled. There was no denying that I knew something, or someone was listening. Again, I asked, “Are you here to help me?”

Another strong wind. With this, I felt a feminine energy, and a feeling of peace consumed me. I rose from the swing bench and stared up into the sky. “What should I do?”

The answer that came then is truly difficult to describe. All I knew was I had to raise my hands to the sky, and call out. I called for the wind. I don’t know what it was, but I just needed a cool breeze. Needed something to soothe the ache. My request was granted by a wonderful gust of wind, and I remember the unbelievable cleanse that consumed me.It had rushed into my lungs. Chills shot through out my body, and for a moment I felt whole.

Thinking back, I now know I had casted a spell for a purification. A wind spell. And the Goddess had shown me how to do it. Ever so grateful for how I felt, I was a believer after that day. Nothing anyone would say, friends, parents, strangers, had ever shaken that belief. After that, I found myself doing a lot of wind spells. That was my element of choice. That is until I found books to help teach me how to cast with other elements. Every time I had done an element spell, I felt closer to the Goddess, and found where I belonged.

I suppose today, as the wind caressed my face, it casted its own memory spell over me. The beautiful sister wind showing me where my path had begun. To this day, I am so grateful. Grateful to the gifts the Goddess has given me.

Gray Witchcraft

Merry meet!

So I found myself exploring the never ending pins on Pinterest, and came upon a picture that I couldn’t have agreed more to. Gray Witchcraft.

image

Embracing both dark and light,
Without going to extremes.
Acknowledging Ying and Yang.
Gray witches are more than
What you think.
Our magick is powerful.
We use it wisely, and accordingly.
We seek not to harm,
But we will protect, and defend
A witch who cannot curse,
Cannot heal.
-The Lady Hekate

This poem/lesson is a wonderful way to help distinguish the meaning of what is between white and dark magick. Witches of Gray are often times Nature-based. This is because the energies of nature is both light and dark, good and bad, harmonious and destructive, life and death.
This source of magick is strong to tap into. It is powerful because how to truly connect with this energy is by fully accepting the light and darkness that lives within you. It has been said that once you seriously understand and connect with the inner balance that resonates in the soul, you can easily bond with nature and its power.
Every gray witch who wishes to form a connection from this source must learn through the training a few important lessons:
~Ye must respect and honor the balance of nature.
~Ye must not be the judge, victim, or criminal.
~Ye protect and defend the helpless.
~Ye must neither be mute or prideful of your craft.
~Ye accept the beauty and flaws of your own unique magick.

These lessons sounds easy enough, but believe me, I’ve had my moments growing up and finding myself overlooking the balance in order to help a friend. Or had been a victim and thought it right to send forth a karma curse. It took me until my late teens to fully realize that spells and intentions have their own time and place to be casted; when the balance won’t be interrupted. But when it is time to unleash the karma, it will be deployed 100%. Over time, nature (karma) will circle its way in and restore things much to your liking.
In the meantime, learn to heal, to protect, to defend, to cleanse, and find peace.
