First Full Moon 2017

Hello and blessings!

Today marks the first full moon of the new year! Happy times! And especially magical times. The moom is in Cancer, which strongly pulls at our greatest heart’s desires. Anything that concerns matters of the heart, relationships, friendships, personal healings, should be done on this full moon night.

I only saw this night for blessings and honor for others. I set outside my circle, and all that I needed for the ritual. It was so fortunate that the rain passed through without reaching my neighborhood. I was praying for that. From this, the sky was clear, with only the moon shining bright over me.

I casted the circle, and summoned the four guardians of the watchtowers. Then I called upon Diana, the Great Moon. Which was revitalizing and empowering! I created a simple full moon incense to burn during ritual. The incense consisted of two resins that many will already know of, for it is popular.

  • Sandalwood
  • Myrrh

These two resins combined create a sacred space and protects it from unwanted energies. They are also resins of the moon, so I burned them in offering to the Great Moon.

I also had decided to charge some moon tea. Since the moon is in a water element, I found it fitting. The tea was:

  • Green tea
  • Jasmine
  • And a pinch of Mugwort

During ritual, I swirled the bottle clockwise, three times, and shine the full moon light through the glass. Then chanted what I wished for it to magically be blessed with. And then left it under the moonlight all night until the raining morning. Jasmine is associated with the moon and horoscope sign of Cancer. Whereas Mugwort is related to the divinity of Diana of the Great Moon. The green tea ties them together by bringing balance and wisdom.

After all was said and done, and blessings were casted, I closed the circle. But not before taking a moment to pay honor to the Earth, and the spirits within. This was a wonderful, and fulfilling ritual. A perfect first moon to start for the rest of the year.

Many blessings to you all! And I hope your full moon rituals went beautifully!

Blessed Be!

The 12 Days of Winter Solstice

Merry meet! Welcome!

The time of a new season is upon us, and once again celebration is in order! I prepared a list of activities to do for the 12 upcoming days until December 21st. And though I have a list, does not mean they can be copied. One thing is sure, that everyone creates their own traditions!

Day 1: Decorations & Candle Light Ritual
Day 2: Yule Tree
Day 3: Wish Ornament
Day 4: Full Moon Road Trip
Day 5: Make a 12 Herb Sachet
Day 6: Bake Winter Bread
Day 7: Make a Yule Log
Day 8: Holiday Gift Exchange To a Stranger
Day 9: Honor the Spirits
Day 10: Warm Tea & Rest
Day 11: Give Gifts & Feast
Day 12: Burn the Yule Log
Though the list of activities may change, every year I always begin the 12 days with a candle lighting ceremony.

«First Day Towards the Winter Solstice»

Candle Light Ritual
Begins with turning off all lights in the home. Lighting one candle, walk through the house, beginning at the front door. Chant:

~ Within the dark, the candle shall light the way.
For though winter is cold, it shall not reign.
Within the dark, our hope shall not die.
For soon the Sun will rise in the sky.
Within the dark, there is no despair.
For our shining souls will renew and repair.
So sing songs into the Winter night,
For soon the winds shall bring Spring light. ~
This is a beautiful ceremony, that blesses the dark. You will notice a significant difference within the home.

Blessed be, brothers and sisters! Enjoy your winter activities!

Healing Apple Tea

Merry meet, dear guests! Welcome!

Since the winter season is nearly among us, we must prepare our minds, bodies, and souls. To keep them healthy and positive. Once the winter season is here, dark days will surely feel longer, as well as that winter chill. The possible cold and flu is at its strongest.

With that being written, I have a wonderful tea recipe that has helped me for years. I give you, my healing tea.

Healing Tea

  • Tsp of Saffron
  • 1/4 tsp of Cinnamon (or stick)
  • Apple Cider
  • Plenty of honey!

Brew the saffron and cinnamon in half cup of hot water. Add in the honey. Then lastly stir in the apple cider when the brew has cooled ever so slightly. As the cup is brewing I chant:

Saffron heals the mind. Apple heals the heart. Cinnamon to strengthen. Honey to guard.

This magical recipe should  grant you health, as well as beneficial immune boosting properties!

What is a little tea without the sweets?! I love to pair this tea with delicious homemade chocolate cookies! There’s something about the apple flavor that compliments the chocolate.

Chocolate Cookies Recipe!

  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chunks

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat chopped chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second increments, stirring between each, until almost melted; do not overheat. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

  2. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla on high speed until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low; beat in melted chocolate. Mix in flour mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chunks.

  3. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough 2 to 3 inches apart onto baking sheets. Bake, rotating sheets halfway through, until cookies are shiny and crackly yet soft in centers, 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on baking sheets 10 minutes; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy! And be sure to add a little of your own magick to these delicious cookies!

Friendship Tea

Hello! And welcome!

Since the holiday season is approaching, and festive parties are surely to be attended, it would be only right to bring or make a delicious blend of magickal tea!

I have here a wonderful brew that I love to create when I know I will be meeting new and hopeful friends. This is a magickal tea recipe that will draw people close and open the doors to new friendship.

When you meet with new and/or old friends, warm up the scones and gather for some tea!

Friendship Tea

  • Tsp of Hibiscus
  • Tsp of Jasmine
  • Tsp White tea
  • Lemon zest

And honey

On special occasions, I love to add a beautiful orchid.

Heat water to 170 – 185 degrees. Pour over the mix, and brew for 3 minutes before enjoying. If you want a stronger brew, steep the flowers and zest for 5 minutes, then add the white tea.

As the tea is brewing, I chant over the pot:

Brew of flowery delight, bring together friendships might.

A delicious scone recipe to compliment this tea, would be a sweet fruit scone.

Sugar Raspberry Scone

  • 1/4 cup plus 1 tbsp of Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 3/4 tsp Course Salt

Enjoy! Blessed be.

Blood Moon Magick Elixir

Hail & Welcome!

Last night, with a dear sister, we tapped into the Great Moon’s powerful magick. We focused on using the healing energies of Water. So naturally, with our Cauldron, we created a powerful Moon Elixir to restore inner balance between our mind, heart, and spirit.

It was absolutely magical to watch the cauldron bubble and steam! It felt so traditional. In ways, we felt the ancient power course through us as we honored all the elements under the Great Moon. Water, Fire, Earth, Air, and Spirit! We were One!

So I give to you, the brew we created.

                               Moon Elixir

  • Tsp Mugwort
  • Tsp Jasmine
  • Tsp Spearmint
  • A Teapot’s worth of water

As the elixir is brewing, chant and empower the spell:

                        Mind, Body, Spirit

Drink during the enchanting hour of Midnight. Preferably under the moonlight of the Full Moon. And you shall immediately feel clearer, centered, and focused.

Blessed be ~*~

The Full Moon Gathering (part 2)

Hello, beautiful souls!

It has been a few days since the full moon, and I have rested well enough to write about the experience. From the last blog, I had written of the reflections that came to me during that night. The appreciation I have for all the new souls I’ve been gifted upon meeting. Along with this moment, an inspiration had struck me. I had decided to hold a gathering for all these beings to come together and cast under the Great Moon.

The gathering was a success. As far as I know of, more than twenty people gathered under the same full Thunder Moon, prayed, and casted their hopes and dreams… It was a moment beyond compare. I still feel their energy whispering across the skies. The Great Moon was shining brighter than ever that night, and She gifted me the power to feel all those around me.

The night was warm and electric. The circle was vibrant with an aura that held no bounds. As I called down the moon, the wind picked up and caressed my skin, but alas I felt my spirit soar and merge with the Great Moon spirit. My body a vessel, I heard and felt the beats and rhythms from the others across the lands, seas, and world. A moment that I know others had felt as well.

For that moment, we were all connected. True brothers and sisters, our body and souls were One. The Great Moon flew us across the night sky. Connected to the stars and the oceans. We sang and danced our words and steps. Lastly, we ended with a blessing and a protection.

If one does not know how to call down the moon, it’s perfectly simple. And yet, it will require focus, unity with the energies around you, and most importantly… belief.

Before calling down the moon, you must prepare yourself. Most witches would do a cleansing, such as a bath or a smudging. Once after the purification, then a circle can be created. A circle is a great protection, especially when your energies are open to the elements. I cleanse my circles using salt, rain water, burning sage, and its incense. Each to represent an element.

After casting the circle, nor will be the time to focus on the Great Moon. Spread out your arms and call out to Her. Allow your energy to flow, and in return, absorb Her light. Give and take. When you are ready, chant the Great prayer.

Sing, dance, stand your ground, and continue to chant until you feel the Great Moon enter your body. It is honestly difficult for me to describe how it feels once the transition happens, but I will say this, you will surely know when it does.

Happy Blessings, brothers and sisters. I cannot express enough the happiness I felt knowing that you were all under the same Great Moon, and wishing blessings between us all. ~*~

Thunder Moon Reflections

It has been too long! I am humbled and grateful to be so busy as of late. Facebook has been truly fortunate, and who knew social media was a whole different level and time consuming?…

Oh wait..yea! Haha

But in all honesty, it has been so enchanting meeting new souls around this world! So many beautiful and heart felt stories… Lives! I’ve had the privilege to meet and make different sisters and brothers across the lands. And I’ve been proud of every single one that was kind enough to speak from the heart.

There is so many living souls on this Mother Earth, with different goals, fears, and dreams. It’s been a wonder learning, advising, and listening to each one. Thank the Goddess for all your beautiful lives. As I sit here now, praying and meditating with the Great Moon, I feel the connection between us all. A connection that is not Earth bound, but on a universal level.

Often we do not notice this bond, but there is no denying the spiritual paths that are intertwined together. All of our paths. We enter each other’s lives with purpose and reason. Meant to always leave a mark, however big or small. Good or bad.

Realizing this simple truth humbles me. I immediately think of how we are all important, special, and the same. Not alone. We each share a power together. A connection.

Which leads me to my special idea. The Great Thunder Moon inspires me! Encourages me to send out blessed protective energies to those in need. I want to invite others to contribute! To call forth and ask of my brothers and sisters to join together during the blessed Full Moon, and chant as one.

I’m now feeling inspired to write the chant; the Great Moon singing sweet muses in my ear. I shall fix together either an alter candle or bonfire. Prepare an enchanting incense. And cast the spell when the Moon is nigh! Oh Goddess, I pray that others will join.

Blessed be this night, and the more to come. Blessed be the brothers and sisters I have met and bonded with. Blessed be the thunder moon’s reflections. Blessed be all of you. Happy Full Moon!

Happy Seed Moon!

Merry meet to you all! And a happy full moon!
The seed moon is a time for candlelight. Feel free to cast spells or meditate on furthering your knowledge and education. This month’s full moon stimulates the mind and perhaps it is because it being between Libra’s and Scorpio’s chambers. Consider drinking some honey bay and jasmine tea! Not only will it bring you good luck in these endeavors but enchants the mind for clarity and wisdom.
The goddess is shining with all of her brightness and I feel truly blessed under her Divine Light. It’s nights like these (warm and calm) that I find appreciation in the little things. To celebrate this simplicity I had decided to enjoy a candlelight tea offering to the goddess, and a walk through the night air.
As I walked, I felt this need to sing to the moon shining bright above me. It is a lullaby that has been stuck in my mind for two weeks now. But I found it fitting for the night. I’m sure others have heard of it if they watch the show Outlander.

                      Skye Boat Song
~Sing me a song of a lass that is gone, say could that lass be I?
Mary of souls she sailed for a day, over the sea to Skye.
~Mull was a stem, rum on the port, Igg on the starboard bow.
Glory of Youth glowed in his soul, where is that Glory now?
~Sing me a song of a lass that is gone, say could that lass be I?
Mary of souls she sailed for a day, over the sea to Skye.
~Give me again all that is there, give me the sun that shone.
Give me the eyes, give me the soul, give me the lad that’s gone.
~Sing me a song of a lass that is gone, say could that lass be I?
Mary of souls she sailed for a day, over the sea to Skye.
~Billow and Breeze, islands and sees, mountains of rain and sun.
All that is good, all that is fair, all that is me is gone.
~Sing me a song of a lass that is gone, say could that lass be I?
Mary of souls she sailed for a day, over the sea to Skye.

Welcoming The Spring

Merry meet!
So being that this is the first week of spring, there was a lot to do in welcoming it.
As witches, one of our responsibilities is ushering in each season and rejoicing in its energy and meaning.
Spring is the time the great Goddess is fully awake and is embracing the earth, gifting it nourishment, beauty, and health. Thankfully, out here in California, where we were in desperate need for rain, we were granted a few storms. The California covens must of been pleased with their success.
The plants and animals are in full swing and are blooming. Seeing this and waiting on the full moon, I decided it was the perfect day to do my Spring ritual.
Planting seeds is a perfect offering to the earth and Goddess. This year I chose to do four types of herbs, cilantro, basil, lavender, and parsley. I setted up my pots and seeds. Lit some candles, and burned my spring equinox incense.

As I began planting I started to chant:

The goddess is awakened from the sun’s warm rays.
She breathes new life and grows through the blossoms.
She transfers her life force through us and in all things living.
She is within us. Around us. And in those about to be born.

After planting, I then used some of my blessed stream water that I collected from my trip to the mountains and watered the seeds. Then chanting~

We celebrate the seeds and blooming spring of mother earth. She gifts to us in her bountiful love.

*Blessed be the Goddess*

If you have not already, light the candles. And then chant~

We are now entering the light half of the year, may the light in our hearts illuminate the sun.

Light the candles or bonfire.

Blessed Be! And may the upcoming season bring you all peace and balance.

Spring Equinox Incense

Merry meet! Welcome!
So today’s post is simply a recipe of my spring equinox incense. I use this incense for my Spring morning prayer. And also during my day ritual.

Before I begin blending, I light a candle to open the doorway for the god and goddess. As I blend the herbs and oil together, I begin chanting all the names that mainly the Goddess goes upon to summon the female element/energy to this incense. Spring has a female aura to it, in my opinion.

As you blend, be sure your also checking on the candle’s flame. Most believe that in a still room, when a candle flame flickers, you have a divine presence in your company. Fortunate enough, my candle flickered. 🙂

            Spring Equinox Incense
· Cinquefoil
· Jasmine
· Rose (I used oil)

Happy Spring! Enjoy your barbeques and families! And most especially be happy!
